Job Description - HR/Payroll Administrator

VDI Australia is an Australian family-owned company that is the sole national dealer of the Yutong brand of bus and coach products. VDI Australia operates nationally, and is represented in Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth through its established service workshops. Yutong is the world's largest manufacturer of buses and is proud of its product success across all continents, especially the world number one electric city bus, the E12. VDI Australia has become increasingly competitive and well equipped for sustained growth.

Due to this continued growth, we have the opportunity to employ another integral team member to join our Group Human Resources team as a HR/Payroll Administrator. The role is full time and is based in our modern offices located in Craigieburn. The HR/Payroll Administrator role is a generalist role and is to provide support and assistance to employees throughout the business. We are a national company so can be working with some of our team members from Cairns to Perth and all states in between. This is a newly created role and will grow with the successful candidate.

Some of the duties will include but will definitely not be limited to –

• Process weekly and fortnightly pay in collaboration with finance team

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR files.

• Handle general HR inquiries and provide timely responses.

• Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process including creating advertising, arranging interview etc.

• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

• Act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.

• Assist in the resolution of employee issues and escalate when necessary.

• Promote positive employee relations and company culture.

• Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience.

• Conduct research and analysis on HR best practices and provide recommendation

To be the successful candidate –

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar HR role

• Must have payroll processing experience.

• Experience in Employment Hero would be advantageous

• Recruitment experience

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proficiency in HR software - HRIS and MS Office Suite.

• Knowledge of Fair work Legislation and regulations.
