An exciting opportunity within our Procurement Team exists for a part-time Purchasing Officer. This position reports to the Senior Purchasing Officer.

THE ROLE

Due to continual growth, we are on a lookout for permanent part-time Purchasing Officer to join our passionate team to support our growth. Working with the Operations team, you play a critical role in ensuring the Company purchases goods and services efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with company policies. This role is responsible for the entire purchasing process, from identifying and evaluating vendors to negotiating contracts, managing orders, administrating records, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices.
• Hands-on experience with Business Central.
• Solid understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

DESIRABLES

• Applicants with proficiency in Mandarin will be viewed favourably.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Recommend sources of supply of goods, materials or services & obtains.
• Quotations for requests & specifications received from other staff or departments.
• Purchase materials, equipment &/or supplies, under supervision, at the best price in relation to quality, quantity & delivery requirements.
• Prepare orders for goods, materials or services under supervision.
• Monitors delivery requirements to conform to the company's schedules plans.
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement & pricing.
• Track orders & ensure timely delivery.
• Review quality of purchased products.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information & invoices.
