Purchasing Officer

Robert Half are working with a dynamic and growing mining company based in West Perth, to source a Purchasing Officer.

This role is looking for an immediate start and is initially for a 3 month period, but has the capacity to extend.

The Role

As a Purchasing Officer, you will support the procurement team in the acquisition of goods and services. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and looking to develop their skills:

• Assist with sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services
• Process purchase orders and track delivery of goods
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and contracts
• Assist with inventory management and stock control
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs
• Provide general administrative support to the procurement team

About You

• Previous experience in an administrative or junior procurement/purchasing role is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• A proactive approach to learning and development
• A certificate or diploma in business administration or a related field is preferred
