Apex Radiology (formally Global Diagnostics) joined the Integral Diagnostics Group to become part of one of largest private radiology providers in Australia and New Zealand. Apex Radiology provides comprehensive Radiology and Tele-radiology services to private medical facilities, public hospitals, WACHS (Western Australia Country Health Service) and also operates a series of stand-alone medical imaging practices across Western Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team based in Busselton on a part-time basis (0.6). You will be expected to provide the highest standard of service to our patients and Radiologists whilst being responsible for providing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide a high standard of care and service to our patients, technical staff, and Radiologists.
Ensure Workplace Health and Safety practices are always understood and observed in the workplace.
Admission, monitoring and recovery of patients undergoing a variety of interventional procedures such as biopsy's, vascular access devices, pain management, and drainages. These are performed across multiple modalities such as Ultrasound, and CT.
Sound knowledge and application for post procedure care, recovery, and discharge.
ABOUT YOU
Registered Nurse with current APHRA Registration.
IV Cannulation experience preferred.
Advanced Life Support preferred, but not essential.
Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations and effective problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to liaise with a diverse range of medical professionals.
Proven ability to contribute to and work as part of a dynamic team in addition to operating independently.
Excellent personal presentation
Previous surgical or radiology experience would be beneficial.
