The MS Society SA & NT are at an exciting juncture in our 60-year history. We are a leading provider in South Australia and Northern Territory of reliable information, allied health and social supports to minimise the impact of MS and other neurological conditions.

We are a highly respected provider of therapeutic and support services for people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological disabilities. Our aim is to empower people to live well with services tailored to their individual needs and goals.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a full time Marketing and Events Manager to join our Fundraising team. The Marketing and Events Manager is responsible for both events and marketing functions and all strategic online initiatives to promote the MS Society SA & NT’s profile and drive revenue. In reference to events the role is to plan and deliver the events and functions program. In reference to marketing, the role will lead initiatives from ideation, to creation, to execution.

Increasing revenue and supporting those who support the MS Society are key objectives of this position.

Your key areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Event management, inclusive of all administrative aspects such as customer communication, scheduling events, organising venue run sheets, CRM/database management.
  • Develop and oversee events for: marketing, fundraising and member engagement (e.g., MS Mighty Swim, World MS Day) and trade expos that promote client services.
  • Collaborate with other states on fundraising projects (e.g., May 50K and MS Readathon), to utilise resources, share projects and knowledge.
  • Develop and manage the MS Society’s bequest program.
  • Liaising with stakeholders such as venues, contractors, suppliers for event preparation details when necessary and be the contact for event enquiries and operations management for the MS Society’s benefit.
  • Develop relevant and engaging content that can be used across platforms.
  • Design of online advertisements, certificates, and invitations and the development of creative collateral.
  • Working collaboratively with the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team to manage the MS Society SA & NT content management system (CMS) and the preparation and production of promotional and live-streaming material.

To be successful in your application you will have:

  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing strategies.
  • Event planning experience.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data metrics.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven record of accomplishment of delivering results with events and/or community fundraising activities
  • Satisfactory Working with Children Clearance and National Police Check.
  • Understanding of disability is not essential, but a willingness to learn is.

Some out of hours work may be required for this role.
