Job Description - System Administrator

System Administrator (3 Month Contract with option to extend)

Key Responsibilities:

Citrix Management:

  • Manage and maintain Citrix environments, including Hybrid Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops configurations.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot applications within Citrix Cloud environments.
  • Ensure optimal performance and availability of Citrix systems.

System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM):

  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot SCCM environments.
  • Handle MDM, patch management, and system updates via SCCM.
  • Monitor and report on system health and compliance.

Network and Voice Management:

  • Manage Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Switching and Routing systems.
  • Administer Webex Calling and Contact Centre solutions.
  • Manage Meraki switches and wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot network and voice-related issues.

IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee VxRail Hyperconverged Infrastructure operations in Active-Active vSAN Stretched Clusters.
  • Manage physical servers and vSAN storage solutions.
  • Administer VMware virtual servers running both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Ensure the high availability and performance of IT infrastructure components.

Technical Escalations:

  • Act as the senior lead for technical escalations from Service Desk Levels 1 and 2.
  • Provide expert-level support and resolution for complex technical issues.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for Citrix and other technologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Citrix VDA, application deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in SCCM deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of network and voice management, including SD-WAN, LAN, Cisco switching/routing, and Meraki solutions.
  • Experience with Webex Calling and Contact Centre administration.
  • Proficiency in managing VxRail, vSAN, and VMware virtual servers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle technical escalations effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Citrix, SCCM, Cisco, VMware) are a plus.

Other Mandatory Requirements:

  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to travel to various sites as needed.
  • Willingness to be on an on-call roster if required.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
