Primary objective The Systems Analyst provides specialised business analysis to effectively evaluate processes and methods used in the NTG Records Management system and identify relevant modifications and/or additional system components to meet client agency needs. Includes problem management, reporting, testing, integration management, records data migrations, and liaison with the system vendors. Context statement The Across Government Systems division is responsible for providing high-level strategic advice and operational management for systems supporting key corporate services and various all of government systems. Key duties and responsibilities 1. Identify, document and validate information requirements associated with the provision of records management system development initiative, this will include an in-depth understanding of reporting tool and techniques. 2. Contribute to the identification of opportunities for business efficiency gains in collaboration with business and subject matter experts to re-engineer and implement more effective business processes. 3. Undertake analysis and interpretation of server notifications, system requirements, and acceptance testing / implementation initiatives. 4. Liaise with technical service providers to ensure development and management of quality systems. 5. Provide accurate, specialist advice to the Senior Systems Analyst and Systems Manager in relation to services provided. 6. Contribute to the development of accurate business and technical documentation, policies and procedures the result in effective and efficient corporate systems services to clients. Selection criteria Essential 1. Sound business process analysis, system administration, data query and technical expertise relevant to NTG Records management system TRM, such as Open Text Content manager, SQL and web based reporting tool. 2. Sound planning expertise including ability to analyse and report on complex issues, evaluate associated benefits and strategies. 3. Proven ability to develop accurate business and technical documentation, policies and procedures that result in the effective and efficient corporate systems services to clients. 4. Proven ability to identify and investigate problems and work to resolve them by thinking laterally and logically to implement improved work practices. 5. Proven abilities in service management and project management methodologies and frameworks. 6. Sound interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures. 7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude, which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest, respectful and innovative. Desirable 1. An understanding of NT Government recordkeeping legislation, policies and procedures. 2. Qualifications in business, information technology or certifications / experience in DevOps, ITIL or other related discipline.
