We are looking for a full-time Engineering Technologist to be in our team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Process Analysis and Optimization: Analyze current production techniques, processes, and workflows. Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
System Design: Design and configure manufacturing systems and processes that support efficient production and meet quality standards. Includes integrating new machinery, optimizing workflow, and layout planning.
Cost Reduction: Develop cost-effective solutions by analyzing financial data and production metrics to reduce expenses and improve financial performance without compromising product quality.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures that enhance product consistency and meet compliance standards. Collaborate with the quality team to set up quality management systems.
Project Management: Manage projects from the conceptual phase through to implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
Technology Integration: Evaluate and integrate new technology or systems that can enhance production capabilities and introduce innovation.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize statistical methods and simulation models to analyze process data, and provide detailed reports on findings and outcomes.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including logistics, supply chain management, and human resources, to ensure cohesive operational strategies.
Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to production staff on new systems and processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. A Master’s Degree or professional certification (such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is advantageous.
Experience: Previous experience in industrial engineering or in a similar role, particularly within the industry of application (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, logistics).
Analytical Skills: Strong capability in process modeling and data analysis, with proficiency in statistical analysis software and Excel.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of CAD software, ERP systems, and familiarity with the latest industry technology.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information to team members and upper management.
Problem-solving Skills: Ability to think critically and innovatively to solve complex operational challenges.
Physical Requirements: 
Capable of working in both office and on-site production environments, which may include exposure to machinery, chemical substances, and noise.
Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including walking, standing for long periods, and occasionally lifting objects.
Work Environment:
The work environment typically includes time spent in an office setting and significant time on the production floor or at operational sites. Interaction with various departments is a regular part of the job.
