Job Description - AO/ Senior Purchasing Officer

Our client, a leading public sector organisation in Queensland, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer with strong relationship-building skills, excellent communication skills and procurement strategy experience.
Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer
Location: Cannon Hill or Robina
Duration: Temporary 6 months with opportunity to extend

Responsibilities:
Manage statewide contracts and standing offer arrangements.
Build strong relationships with suppliers for competitive pricing and compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure procurement aligns with agency objectives.
Lead tender processes for construction, maintenance, and consulting projects.
Execute purchasing activities and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Requirements:
Proven experience in procurement or contract management.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
