Construction estimator

The Opportunity:

Are you a talented and ambitious individual looking to progress your career in the construction industry? We are seeking a dynamic construction industry estimator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with at least 1-2 years of experience in using Cubit estimating software, who is passionate about construction and interested in a long-term role with ample room for growth and development. This opportunity will offer exposure to a range of commercial construction and civil projects such as Service Stations and Fast Food Outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilise Cubit estimating software to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, including conducting material take-offs and determining labour costs for construction projects.
• Analysing project plans and specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members in general day to day tasks.
• Provide support in contract administration, including reviewing and negotiating contracts, tracking project costs, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Working one on one daily with the company director.
• Development of the role to grow within the business and add value to both yourself and the team.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in using Cubit estimating software.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent reporting, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
• Drivers licence and own transport.
