About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hardware/Software Procurement Specialist to undertake procurement activities for the Defence Strategic Communications Branch (DSCB) of our Federal Government client. You will be responsible for the management and coordination of hardware contract and software license renewals to provide continuity for critical ADF communications capability. A background in procurement within Government is essential for this opportunity.

This is an onsite role located in Canberra and requires a minimum NV1 Security Clearance.

About you

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Ongoing management and monitoring of hardware maintenance support arrangements and of application and software license support agreements.
• Maintenance of the hardware and software lifecycle management tracking database.
• Build constructive professional relationships with senior stakeholders outside your immediate work area, vendors and colleagues
• Utilize your proven background working with Tender evaluations, RFQ and register maintenance from Government.

Requirements:

• Minimum NV1 security clearance.
• Minimum 2 years similar experience within Federal Government ideal
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to explain complex ideas succinctly in plain context.
• A clear understanding of procurement regulation, associated legislation, requirements and experience in Government Procurement, Contracting and Financial Management.
• The ability to manage and respond to tasking in the time frames assigned.
• The ability to work quickly to achieve results as part of a dynamic, accountable team of subject matter experts
