Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an EL1 Project Managers . This position is located in their busy Canberra office for a July 2024 to July 2025 contract .

About the Position
The client has a requirement for Security Infrastructure project management resource(s) with project/construction management background who has skills in Project delivery with an understanding of security measures in building projects.
Duties

• Integrate the project management stakeholders throughout the 5 phases of the project
• Mange the design and documentation through the 5 project phases – Initiation/Design and Document/Delivery/HOTO/DLP.
• Manage project variations and changes and maintain the change control process
• Review diagram(s) and drawings to reflect DFAT security specifications.
• Review and update “as built” documentation and drawings.
• Review architectural designs as directed.
• Review of design and engineering documentation issued to DSD by external entities and service providers.
• Manage project budgets and reporting to key stakeholders.
• Manage the project handover and close outs.
• Undertake site visits where required.

• NV2 Security Clearance required
• Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and develop project briefs to deliver security upgrade projects.
• Good understanding and experience in delivering construction and physical security Infrastructure projects.
• Manage the procurement of consultants and contractors to deliver security projects.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and monitor associated budgets.
• Project/construction management background

• Possible 12 months extensions available
• Full time hours, 37.5 hours per week
