About the Role
Cbus Property is seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager to contribute to the implementation of Cbus Property's Risk Management Framework (RMF), ensuring it is effective in helping Cbus Property to achieve it's business and strategic objectives, including compliance with key legislative and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Risk and Compliance Manager will lead targeted programs of work to uplift risk maturing across the organisation. Key accountabilities include ownership of the operational and compliance risk management programs, incident management, Business Continuity (BC)/Disaster Recovery Management and third party risk management.

Key Responsibilities
Governance
- Contribute to the development of the monthly risk and compliance report tabled at the monthly executive Risk & Compliance Committee (RCC)
Risk
- Develop and implement an effective 'operational' and 'compliance' risk management program that enables a 'bottom-up' approach to risk management at Cbus Property.
- Lead the ongoing business engagement to review, identify, assess, manage, monitor 'operational' and 'compliance' risks, providing appropriate advice and challenge.
- Lead control rationalisation/definition activities.
- Lead Key Risk Indicator (KRI) data definition activities.
- Maintain data integrity of the risk system through regular review and update of records.
- Lead incident management, BC/DR management and third-party risk management activities for Cbus Property. This includes ownership of the relevant procedures/tools/templates, training/awareness and monitoring ongoing compliance to established processes.
Policy and Compliance
- Support the annual review/updates to key artefacts that make up the RMF, ensuring all components continue to be fit for purpose and align with industry best practice; and
- Where required, assist with the development of the compliance obligations register (including mapping of controls).
Assurance
- Assist with second line control testing activities as and when required; and
- Contribute to uplift of assurance processes leveraging industry best practices and maintain currency of related artefacts.
Key Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience effectively leading risk and compliance activities across more than one industry/sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of risk management, compliance and assurance frameworks, methodologies and processes and how those capabilities can be deployed practically to support commercial outcomes.
- Proficiency with GRC systems (including configuration/reporting/dashboarding capability). E.g. Archer.
- Tertiary level qualifications in business, commerce or a related field are desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of incident management, BCP/DR and third-party risk management frameworks and how to successfully operationalise these in an efficient and effective manner.
- Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity/fraud/third-party risks and how they can be practically managed in a fit for purpose manner.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to deal effectively with internal and external contacts.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver internal and external communications in a focused and professional manner that comply with regulatory requirements and support a message that is clear, concise, and easy to read.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and commercially with internal and external parties.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively and as a member of a team.
