The School of Engineering within the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment is seeking a creative, curious and outside the box thinker to join their team as a Senior Technical Officer, Civil Engineering. Supporting the Structural Engineering Lab, this role is perfect for someone with a trade background seeking a new and exciting position. A background as a Fitter and Turner, Boiler Maker or Carpenter would be ideal but any hands on, practical experience, paired with an innovative and driven personality would be welcome to join the team. In addition to technical skills the ability to embrace technology is required.
As a Senior Technical Officer, Civil Engineering you'll have day to day variety with no two days being the same, the freedom to plan your work day, as well as an exciting work environment where you're involved in different projects and research.
You'll be joining a close knit, collaborative team who support each other so it's essential that you are someone who is personable and motivated to work both independently and within in a team.
