The Opportunity

Bellingen Shire Council has an exciting Capital Works delivery program that will be delivered in the coming years.

In the next few years, Council is spending over $20M on its Bridge Renewal Program replacing over 30 bridges, a further $20M on roads as well as delivering Special Projects including the upgrade of key infrastructure in Connell Park and replacing the iconic Urunga Boardwalk.

We are seeking a highly motivated Site Engineer to join our Infrastructure Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering and overseeing major capital and operational works projects across the Bellingen area.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or related discipline and demonstrated experience in estimating projects, planning and assisting in the management and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, experience with NSW Specifications and contract management, ability to read plans and to survey and set out civil works, and experience with soil and concrete testing for civil works conformance.

To succeed in the role, you will have good demonstrated understanding and experience of civil construction techniques and practices, ability to manage and lead staff effectively, and the ability to build effective partnerships across functions, organisations and with community members.

Annual salary of $92,096 to $104,969 (plus super)
