Established in 1987, SBP Australia is a privately owned commercial and industrial construction company based in Salisbury, Brisbane. We specialise in insulated panel construction including cold rooms, freezer and food and beverage process facilities.

The role

We are seeking a skilled Site Supervisor with previous commercial and industrial construction experience to join our team. Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the project planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling resources, whilst continuing to maintain a safe working environment for all workers. The key function of this position is the supervision and coordination of site personnel, in line with the project program.

The role is a full-time site-based permanent position and will be required to work Monday to Friday (with weekend works when required).

Tasks & responsibilities

• Has recent experience on commercial and industrial projects ranging from $0.5m to $10m, complimented with sound WHS, environment and quality

• Has a proven track record with the experience to lead a site team

• Coordinates trades to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operation

• Provides hands-on management of the works on site

• Mentors and leads staff and subcontractors

• Conducts toolbox meetings

• Ensures OH&S and quality standards are met

• Liaise with clients

Qualifications & experience

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following Competencies:

• Previous Site Supervisory / management experience

• 5 year’s experience in working on industrial and commercial projects

• Strong work ethic, workmanship & quality focus with attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and assist staff where required to achieve deadlines

• Excellent people management skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Current drivers licence & reliable transport

• Ability to live away from home if required during the construction period

• Carpentry qualifications / Machinery tickets would be favourable

• Assists with general construction work when required

• Procore experience desirable
