Job Description - Social Media Lead

TileCloud and Yabby are for stylish but busy renovators. We are a digital-first renovation brand helping people to create the home of their dreams. We do this with inspiring and educational content, first-rate customer service, expert design support and a refreshingly simple product range.

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Lead who is a creative at heart and thrives in customer-centric roles. You’ll combine your visual storytelling skills and your analytical mindset to manage the social media accounts for both of our brands, Yabby and TileCloud. This role is responsible for managing the content calendar and scheduling of all organic content across the Yabby and TileCloud accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube. We are seeking a highly analytical yet creative person to work with our team of content creators to produce content that is off-the-charts good.

About the role:

  • Content calendar and schedule: Create and manage the social media content calendars for Yabby and TileCloud and manage social media accounts. Ensuring campaigns and activities are delivered on time.
  • Content creation feedback: Oversee the creation and management of all published content across our social media channels. Provide constructive feedback and approvals for all video content produced by our in-house Content Creators. You will actively participate in shoots with the content creators and provide live feedback pulling appropriate examples of video content to communicate your vision and direct the creators as needed.
  • Content creation: Use in-app tools, CapCut and Canva to create visually appealing and engaging short-form branded social media videos that align with social trends and resonate with our target audience. Identify opportunities to adapt and repurpose content effectively for different social channels such as Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok to maximise reach and impact.
  • Face-to-camera content: You will be a face and brand ambassador of our brands. Primarily, you will be the talent for most video content, bringing in additional team members when needed.
  • Marketing assistance: Support the eCommerce and Marketing Coordinator and Group Content Manager with lead generation and paid activity as required.
  • Reporting: Track and analyse social analytics to gain insight into reach, demographics and effectiveness. Utilise this information to affect future outcomes positively.
  • Trends: Stay up-to-date with current social media trends on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook and present back to the team weekly on how we could apply these trends to content that aligns with our brand values.
  • Community engagement: Communicate with followers, respond to comments and build relationships through responsive content. Work closely with customer service and escalate when required.
  • Spark positive change: Identify areas to improve overall brand presence across all channels. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Product teams to implement changes.

About you:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • 3+ years experience working within an in-house marketing team.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Has an analytical, customer-centric mindset.
  • You do not shy away from asking questions and giving constructive feedback to help propel the team's performance.
  • Passionate about aesthetics and design.
  • Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Obsessed with what’s new and topical in the world of socials, you read more social newsletters than we do and have your finger on the pulse of new and emerging trends.
  • Ability to give and receive effective feedback with curiosity and respect.
