WHS Advisor

This role is a Safety Business Partnering role with a focus on driving high levels of contractor safety performance, particularly within the infrastructure and construction space. The role is designed to build excellent collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to drive excellent safety outcomes.

Our client is a major infrastructure and facilities organisation with a unique mix of challenges in their operations. With a range of major projects on the horizon they have identified a need to grow their safety function with new blood and fresh perspectives.

Description

Primarily focused on partnering with project leadership teams this role is a mix of working with contractor teams to ensure compliance and maintain contracted safety performance, along with being a subject matter expert for safety matters during construction, maintenance and operations activities. This is a hands-on role where building excellent & collaborative relationships is a must. Engaging with key stakeholders, both internal and external, along with conducting investigations and audits, are key deliverables of this role.

Profile

The successful candidate will be a highly people-focused safety professional with a strong ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders. They will have experience in high-risk environments, particularly in areas with large contractor or supplier workforces, ideally in construction or maintenance operations. Recognised qualifications in WHS are essential, preferably at a minimum of Diploma level, along with experience in audit and root cause analysis investigations.
