Squires Loft South Yarra is looking for an Assistant Manager with previous experience the industry. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to lead the floor team in an Assistant Manager's role, show passion for food and wine and support our Restaurant Managers.

The successful candidate must have:
- Be a seasoned professional with at least one year of experience managing or supervising a wine bar or restaurant.
- Create a positive influence on the floor, always looking to ensure the best customer experience takes place.
- Supervise the taking and confirmation of bookings to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Ensure the safety of staff and patrons during service and after leaving the premises
- Expertise mixing drinks, coffees and the ability to alternate from the bar to the floor when needed.
- Availability on weekends.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian wine is a must - WSET training will be highly regarded.
- Appropriate skills in training floor staff according to Squires Loft training guidelines.
- Ability to successfully train and supervise both floor and bar staff.
- Balance the register at the end of the shift ensuring a high level of accuracy and honesty.
- Maintain wage costs within company guidelines and customer spending above agreed figures
- Conduct daily and monthly stocktakes to maintain stock control and security
- Lead the team in ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
- Maintain hygienic food handling practices and cleanliness of all waiting and bar staff.

Pay: $57,500.00 – $65,000.00 per year
