What you will do The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of the Investment Operations service, reporting to the Team Leader of Reconciliations within the Investment Operations Outsourcing Team. The Consultant will focus on oversight and issue resolution across reconciliation event processes.
You will be analytically and procedurally competent with an understanding of both middle office and custody operations and possess the necessary client facing skills
- Responsible for providing client service through the execution of daily functions and tasks within the Investment Operations Outsourcing Team
- Responsible for oversight of offshore production of operational activity across middle office records.
- Responsible for oversight of offshore reconciliations of daily cash and stock positions across middle office and custody book using TLM Premium (Smart Stream application) to ensure accurate portfolio holdings are available to traders and portfolio managers
- Working with and assisting offshore production teams with investigations and queries through to resolution.
- Track all issues by managing operational logs with offshore teams, working with them to remediate all service issues encountered with a proposed plan for resolution
- Act as a liaison with client service teams to drive issue resolution.
- Understand client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that are directly related to job function(s)
- Liaising with clients, market counterparties and other business areas to clear and investigate issues through to resolution for the explanation of these to clients
- Assisting with build, completion and delivery of monthly internal and client KPIs
- Work with internal onboarding teams and participate as a workstream lead with new business opportunities.
- Liaison with Static Data teams for product/asset/ account set-up issues Ensuring that all correct control procedures are adhered to and a full audit trail is recorded and maintained at all times
- Identification of potential risk items and exposure on a timely basis with a view to close these areas of risk Production of daily & monthly KPIs for senior management
Knowledge/Skills: - Demonstrated client servicing capabilities and excellent communication skills are also required for success in this role.
- A good knowledge of the asset servicing industry, acquired through experience in both middle office and custody records is critical for this position
- Good Knowledge of Middle Office operations specifically on trade lifecycle
- Experience with Global Equities, Fixed Income, FX and Money Market Asset Classes is required.
- Understanding of unit pricing and interfund relationships
- Must be resilient to pressure and must have the ability to adapt quickly.
- Strong analytical skills are required to research and resolve inquiries/issues.
- Organizational skills are required to manage conflicting priorities and multitask functions in a fast-paced team environment
- 3-5 years of experience within investment management/asset servicing industry within Operations and Client Servicing
