Ladies and Gentlemen cafe is seeking for a passionate Cook to join our amazing team. We are a French-Taiwanese fusion restaurant located in the quiet neighbourhood of Enmore, and we aspire to deliver heartwarming meals to our patrons and customers. 

As our Cook, you will be working with one of our founders Fiona, who is experienced in French cuisine, having trained in Paris and worked at a number of fine dining restaurants in both Paris and Singapore. Your role is about providing passionate cooking to the kitchen and serving customers with high quality dishes.

Our operation hours are between:

Tue to Fri 7am – 3pm

Sat to Sun 8am – 3pm

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• At least a Cert III level of study in Commercial Cookery

• At least 2 years of practical working experience as a Cook in French / Taiwanese cuisine

• Knowledge and experience in French / Taiwanesecooking techniques will be preferred

• Good communication skills

• Australian Citizen / PR or Australian Visa that allows you to work full-time.

About the role

As our Cook, you will be working full-time, 5 days a week (38 hours) and you will be responsible for the following: 

• Preparing ingredients for the day’s service

• Examining quality and quantity of ingredients before preparation and seasoning

• Cooking, seasoning and portioning food to be delivered to customers

• Using equipment such as ovens, pans, and other cooking equipment for cooking

• Storing ingredients after use and ensuring minimal wastage

• Comply with HACCP hygiene standards and safety standards

• Maintain cleanliness of cooking equipment and cooking station after use.

• May train or assist other cooks when necessary.

Remuneration

For this role, we are offering a salary of $70000 - $75000 + superannuation.
