About us

The ASCC Group of Companies are a privately owned chemical distribution network with a presence across the Asia Pacific region. With offices located in Brisbane, Melbourne, Auckland, Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok, this role is with our head office located in Loganholme, Queensland. Our product range of globally recognised brands have established us with a strong presence as a key supplier of chemicals, solvents, resins and other specialty products which are critical to many industries such as agriculture, personal care, cleaning products, adhesives, road repair, fibreglass & composite manufacture and paint and surface coatings production.

Summary of the role

We are seeking an adaptable, enthusiastic and proactive Customer Experience guru to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an excellent customer experience by meeting both our internal and our customers KPI’s along with assisting with stock production planning. The role involves working in a small and diverse team environment, while also being able to work autonomously from time to time.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customers receive excellence in customer service via timely processing of customer purchase orders
  • Keep customer informed about status of orders via phone and email communication
  • Meet both ASCC’s and our customers KPI’s via on time and in full deliveries
  • Collaborate with fellow customer experience team members to support the positive Customer Experience function
  • Prioritise tasks efficiently in a high volume environment
  • Create new opportunities by thinking outside the box
  • Identify areas of potential improvement in work processes or procedures

Skills :

  • Demonstrable organisational skills
  • Highly developed communication skills to deliver exemplary customer service
  • A keen eye for detail an high level of accuracy
  • Rapid learner of new systems and processes
  • Intermediate to high level skills in use of IT technologies including MS Office suite, email and internet

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar customer service based role in materials distribution, transport, planning, freight forwarding or shipping environment
  • A keen eye for accuracy and a rapid learner of systems and processes
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills to deliver exemplary customer service
  • Strong understanding of, or experience working within, an ISO9001 Quality Environment
  • Intermediate to high skills in use of IT technologies including Office 365, ERP Systems, email and internet
  • Ability to proactively identify and communicate areas of improvement in work processes or procedures
