Job Description - Customer Service Team Leader

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service Team Leader to oversee and support our Building Supplies Customer Service Team. In this role you will be responsible for managing a small team of customer service officers, ensuring that they provide exceptional customer service to our clients. You will be a detail oriented, approachable leader with outstanding communication skills and the ability to build long standing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Lead and support a team of 4 customer service officers and provide guidance on the daily operations
  • Plan, prioritise and delegate work tasks to ensure efficient functioning of the team
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and issues
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Define, communicate and monitor customer service standards
  • Ensure the necessary resources and tools are available for quality customer service delivery
  • Ensure adequate staffing and pre-empt any staffing issues that may affect customer service
  • Liaise with the management team to support and implement growth strategies
  • Role model and positively reinforce expected safety behaviours

QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES

  • Previous experience in leading a Customer Service team (essential)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential)
  • Good time management and planning skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Sound understanding of the Building and Construction Industry (highly regarded)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
