Job Description - Director of Medical Workforce

Director of Medical Workforce – RMH Mental Health Services.

Fractional / Fixed Term for 5 years at 35 per fortnight, based mainly at the RMH City Campus

 

The Director Medical Workforce, (DMW) provides leadership for the Doctors in Training (DiT) medical workforce of RMH Mental Health Services (RMH-MHS) and in partnership with the Orygen Specialist Program (OSP). The DMW has responsibility for the recruitment, retention, well-being, training and development of the RMH-MHS Doctors in Training, and for ensuring proper credentialing in conjunction with the Medical Workforce Unit, RMH. In addition, the DMW is responsible for ensuring the fair distribution and rostering of Doctors in Training, and for identifying and managing areas of staff shortage with the establishment EFT. The DMW contributes to broader strategic policies of workforce development in the RMH-MHS.

About You: 

  • Eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of the Australian Health Practitioners Agency.
  • Experience at consultant level in psychiatry.
  • Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent
