Job Description - Disability Service Manager

Management opportunity with a for-profit, registered NDIS provider in Townsville Your new company


Your new company is a mid-sized, for-profit, registered NDIS provider, based in Townsville. With a stable headcount and impressive average staff tenure, they've historically grown naturally with a focus on quality of service. They're currently looking to recruit a Service Manager to their team to add to their leadership team. Your new role
Your new role will report to the Operations Manager and oversee a team of support workers, to ensure the safe delivery of person centred support across multiple SIL locations. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Daily monitoring of services, including daily communications, medication charts, risks, incident and PBSP reporting.
  • Provide effective leadership and foster a positive workplace culture where staff feel engaged, empowered and encouraged to think creatively.
  • Train and mentor support workers in day to day practices and in the implementation and review of new and current care plans every 12 months.
  • Monitor and review staff rosters.
  • Meet with the Operations Manager monthly to provide advice and information for Board meeting reports.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience managing a team of support workers, servicing multiple Supported Independent Living houses
  • Qualifications in Disability Support or related Community Services field preferred, but not essential
  • Availability for occasional on-call duties
  • Blue Card, Yellow Card and First Aid Certificate, or ability to obtain


What you'll get in return

  • Salary package of $75,000 - $80,000 + super, commensurate with experience
