Job Description - Domestic Services Officer

The Role

The Domestic Services Officer will:

  • Clean specified areas within wards and other areas within the New Norfolk District Hospital (NNDH).
  • Provide infection control cleaning as per Infection Control Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide a catering support service in the preparation of food and delivery of patients’ meals.

Details of Appointment

Multiple, fixed term casual shift-worker positions, as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately twelve (12) months.

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies.

Salary

$58,184 - $59,580 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation c ontribution is on top of this amount.

Plus 25% Casual loading - Equivalent of $36.08 - $37.68 per hour.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  • crimes of violence
  • sex related offences
  • serious drug offences
  • crimes involving dishonesty.
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
