Job Description - Educator - Wellbeing Services

About the role:

The Educator works within the Wellbeing Education Team as part of the Mental Health Centre of Excellence & Innovation unit (MHCEI).  The role is responsible for the development and delivery of training programs for new recruits, promotional pathways programs and bespoke packages on demand.  The role includes a quality assurance for broader professional development, in partnership with other areas of Victoria Police.

Your duties will include:

  • Informed advice – regarding contemporary professional development approaches and emerging trends
  • Facilitation – of engaging education, independently or in partnership with teams throughout Victoria
  • Evaluation – evidence-based design and evaluation, complemented by our quality assurance framework
  • Strategic planning – on a range of education issues with genuine stakeholder engagement
  • Reporting – ensure accurate, accessible and succinct records
  • Other duties – as directed by management

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Working knowledge of design and delivery of mental health and wellbeing professional development
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, research and/or evaluation skills
  • Experience in needs assessment, team development, change management, and policy excellence
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication, engaging effectively within a team and with senior management
  • Proven ability to invite constructive feedback and monitor satisfaction and learning outcomes

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening
