About the Role:


This position is responsible for the measurement, monitoring, driving high performance and efficient delivery of the Maintenance program.


The primary responsibility of a maintenance controller is a control functions and are based around cost control, performance tracking scheduling, contract management, quality control, data integrity and issues tracking.


This position can be located at any major Powercor depot.


What you’ll deliver:


  • Working with the Manager Maintenance Services & Quality Assurance,, develop forecast expenditure baseline and undertake monthly review and updates.
  • Support in the development of comprehensive status reports to enable effective tracking and monitoring of the maintenance program.
  • Analyse and review performance data, identify trends, risks, and opportunities to the program.
  • Maintain project data integrity in SAP, ensuring that Network activity dates, hours and forecasts are aligned with the project schedule
  • Recommend and constructively influence actions required to ensure achievement of physical and financial targets.
  • Preparation of tender and contract documentation for execution.
  • Monitoring performance of contractors to contract terms and conditions.
  • Facilitate monthly review meetings with key stakeholders to report and review time, cost, risks, opportunities and any escalations.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all key stakeholders.
  • Actively engaging and following up with program managers, maintenance services officers, asset inspection officer and other stakeholders to maintain complete data integrity and influence project development and advancement.
  • Provide schedule progress information on a regular basis for decision-making, reporting and communications.
  • Assist with HSE audits of contractors and monitor conformance to Health and Safety plans.

To succeed in this role you’ll have:


  • Tertiary education in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Project Management advantageous.
  • Proven ability to apply project management and control principles on major project.
  • Experience in Tableau reporting.
  • Experience using Excel and Word at a high skill level is critical.
  • Skills in program scheduling, cost control and issues tracking.
  • Compilation of management reports, including resource & project forecasting.
  • Experience in SAP/BI, advanced Excel, and other reporting tools as required.
  • Ability to work with and perform analysis on significant volume of data from varying sources.
  • Understanding of Portfolio management concepts and ability to apply them.
  • Business and operational data analysis, insight communication & reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to plan and implement resource strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues at different levels.
  • Ability to gain clear agreement and commitment from others by influencing, convincing, and building partnerships in order to reach solutions.
  • An understanding of the Energy industry.
