Job Description



Join TAL as a Marketing Manager where you be part of our Group Life and Retirement business unit. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, you will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing materials to support TAL's core offering and key campaigns and propositions for TAL’s super fund partners. You will focus on the development and execution of our marketing strategy, supporting education and advocacy for key stakeholder groups across TAL’s Group Life and Retirement business.

This is a permanent role, working flexibly from our Sydney office.

In this role you will: 

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing materials for group life insurance and retirement to support our engagement with TAL’s super fund partners and their members.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the business to understand challenges and consider how the marketing, communications and events team might support the development and delivery of a solution.
  • Develop and maintain the marketing data and proof points library, including engaging with the business for regular audits and updating the library of content and materials with key messaging and proof points.
  • Complete reporting and analysis of the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and deliverables.
  • Support the delivery of a content pipeline for increasing understanding and awareness of Group Life and Retirement propositions across stakeholder groups, through owned channels.
  • Manage research project plans to support the development of marketing communications deliverables including positioning papers, thought leadership and other relevant communication and campaign plan activation.
  • Drive internal engagement with the Group Life and Retirement Partnerships Team through education on the role of marketing and communications, and developing scalable solutions for fund partners, building in appropriate risk and governance measures to all processes.
  • Drive TAL’s Regulatory content pipeline for key stakeholder groups.
  • Develop tools and reporting materials to enhance data and insight sharing for fund partners.
  • Confirm launch dates, communications strategies, plans and forecasts with key stakeholders ensuring delivery on time and on budget.
  • Deliver a regular reporting framework, preparing dashboards for circulation through the wider team and to partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a marketing role with experience working within financial services
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Word and Powerpoint)
  • Strong B2B and B2B2C marketing and communications experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to translate complex and technical messages into meaningful communications for relevant audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Able to manage challenging deadlines, multiple and conflicting priorities
  • Able to think strategically and creatively and execute with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in digital analytics such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, desired
