Short Description: Azure Operations Engineer

Location: Melbourne

Salary : Min. AUD $ 100,073 - Max. AUD $ 111,062

This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of innovative cloud solutions that support our business objectives. Candidate will collaborate closely with diverse IT teams to enhance our cloud infrastructure and optimize its performance. He/she shall be part of Infrastructure Support Team - BAU and Oversee the daily operation, administration, and support of the enterprise IT systems. Implement IT changes, Incident, Problem Management within an ITIL framework. Assist with technical implementation of Projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Experience 5+ years.
• Provide additional leadership support and technical direction for Operations Engineers.
• Management of resources deployed in Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments. Resource provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and optimisation.
• Integration of Azure, GCVE and cloud resources for hybrid deployments.
• Cost optimisation strategies and monitoring for cloud-based resources.
• Implementation and management of disaster recovery solutions in the cloud Provision of solution architecture and high-level design documentation to support the build of cloud, infrastructure and network solutions.
• Can Operate, Configure and Manage DevOps Tools like - Splunk, GitHub, Containers, Security Policy automation software like Tufin.
• Commendable Knowledge and Experience in VMware Administration.
• Understands and Comprehends Infrastructure Architecture Design and solutioning.
• Shall exhibit adequate understanding and experience in Infra Cloud solutioning, Management and/or Integration - Azure, Google Cloud (GCVE), etc. Integration of GCVE and cloud resources for hybrid deployments.
• Can handle and manage effective communication with key stakeholders.
• Should be capable of doing Vendor Management in an environment involving multiple vendors.
• Cloud Billing and Licensing Management - optimizing cost benefits to positive.

Skills /Competencies:

• VMware Certified Administrator - VMware NSX, VMware VROPs, VMware Horizon.
• Cloud Infrastructure Support - Google Cloud (GCVE), Azure.
• DevOps Tools - Splunk, GitHub, Containers (Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Tufin or Similar Security Automation Tools.
• ITIL Framework.

Additional skills:

• Should have worked in Large Projects.
• Excellent customer interfacing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
