Patient Services Officer

Your life’s best work!We are looking for enthusiastic and efficient Patient Services Officers (Medical Receptionists) to join our team in our Adelaide Oncology clinics. In these patient-facing roles, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to clients and staff while remaining professional, caring and friendly in an everchanging environment.We currently have 4 casual positions available, working across our oncology clinics in South Terrace, Kurralta Park, Bedford Park, and Elizabeth Vale.

More specifically, you will:

Work in a fast-paced administrative role where customer focus is the top priority.

Act as the first point of contact to patients and provide excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone.

Adapt to and manage an environment where there is ongoing change and competing priorities.

Book and confirm patients for appointments and consultations.

Billing and Receipting at time of appointment.

Accurately process relevant paperwork including data entry.

Ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Continuously liaise with the team to ensure efficient processes.

Manage patient records and filing of patient notes.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

May have previous Medical industry experience.

Are eager to learn new Systems and Applications for managing Patient and Doctor requests.

Demonstrate ability to provide ongoing patient care and customer service.

Have strong communication skills.

Have previous experience working individually or as part of a team.

Possess knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare mechanisms would be highly valued.

Have exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient inquiries.

High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Are flexible with their approach to work and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
