Our Client is looking for a Solution Architect to join their team to contribute to the development and implementation of current and future state business, application, information (data) and technology architectures to guide Leadership, Project Teams and Business Services through transformation and optimisation initiatives. The position develops solution designs, models and architecture to support delivery of these transformation and optimisation initiatives.
Salary up to 118K + Super
Location is Perth
Responsibilities
o Participate in and contribute to the Clients Architecture practices.
o Develop and design the solution architecture and capabilities needed to support transformation and optimisation initiatives.
o Investigate the key requirements of initiatives and specifies the Business processes, Applications and Technological infrastructure needed to improve Service Delivery and create efficiencies.
o Assess consequences and risks arising from decisions to obtain, change or continue the possession or use of an Asset, System or service
o Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks.
o Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to:
-Understand business requirements, facilitate appropriate Solution Architecture practices, and identify opportunities for efficiencies by consolidating and simplifying technology.
-Consult with project teams and vendors to prepare, review or validate proposal in relation to transformation and optimisation initiatives.
- Support a customer-focussed consultancy and advisory service using a business partnership approach.
-Provide strategic advice on emerging technologies and trends, and their application in the design of business processes.
Selection Criteria
o Demonstrated significant skills in Level 4 and 5 capabilities of the information and related technology (IT) Skills Framework, which consists of the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) and,
o Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and experience in applications and infrastructure, with a focus on cloud technologies and services, and their operation, management, and implementation within a large and complex business environment.
o Demonstrated skills and experience in translating business requirements into specifications, developing customer centric solutions, overseeing technical delivery, and ensuring design compliance.
o High-level oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external clients and stakeholders in a range of contexts by presenting clear, concise, and articulate technical information and reports encouraging the support of stakeholders in achieving practical and business-focused outcomes.
o Possession of a relevant industry or tertiary qualification or demonstrated active progression towards the same. This may include TOGAF (Open Group Architecture Framework) or COBIT
