About the Role
Shape university success! The Business Advisor role provides data-driven insights for strategic decision-making. Collaborate across the university to develop solutions, optimising finances, workforce, and student success. Lead impactful projects and drive the university towards its strategic goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing finances, building business cases & models, and finding growth opportunities to optimise university performance.
  • Working with stakeholders to identify data needs, developing solutions, and delivering insights for strategic decision making.
  • Managing financial and business initiatives, conducting cost/revenue analysis, and preparing performance reports.



Who we are looking for
We are seeking a collaborator with strong relationships, strategic thinking, and financial/project management expertise. They will leverage research and communication skills to translate data into actionable insights, influencing stakeholders across the university and beyond.

You will also have:

  • A higher education qualification in a relevant discipline and/or membership of a professional accounting body (ACCA, CA ANZ, CPA or equivalent) with proven and relevant experience in a similar role within a large and complex organisation; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with a high-level of expertise in Excel, including proficiency in financial modelling as well as creation and manipulation of pivot tables.
  • Experience in large finance ERPs, ideally Workday a bonus, but not an impediment.
  • Knowledge and experience in business intelligence tools like, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau.

This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
