ParentsNext Consultant

Base salary + $15,900 in NFP salary packaging + meals & entertainment card

Work laptop + phone + training provided

Rostered Day Off (RDO) - one day off per month

From 33 offices across NSW, each year we support over 12,500 jobseekers including parents, Indigenous communities, school leavers and people with disability to prepare for, gain and maintain employment.

The Role



We have a full time opportunity available at Mayfield office for an experienced employment consultant. The ParentsNext program is a government initiative to prepare out-of-work parents to return to the workforce by the time their youngest children turns 6. 


In this role, you will partner with parents to provide flexible and tailored support, and build motivation around returning to work. 


Your objectives will be to link them with community support and childcare services, and to identify suitable education and employment goals. 

About You  


As a ParentsNext Consultant you will have a highly empowering style with the ability to build effective professional relationships with participants, community organisations and other stakeholders including Government departments.

To succeed in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate:

Your ability to establish relationships with organisations, such as Centrelink, that are likely to generate referrals

Your ability to support customers to develop sustainable employment and education goals

Your resourcefulness to develop participation plans with your customers to achieve these goals

Your knowledge of the local labour market and experience in placing clients into local employment opportunities

Your excellent administration skills and ability to maintain regular assessments with customers

Your flexibility to work over multiple locations to ensure the program runs smoothly and our customers get prompt, high level service

People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent are encouraged to apply.

As part of this role you will be required to travel within your region.

Essential Criteria

Satisfactory background checks including NDIS Workers Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

Experience in customer focused roles       

Experience working with in the disability service sector highly regarded

Current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
