Our Cairns Property & Buildings team are inviting applications from experienced Mechanical Engineers from within the building services sector. This role will see you involved in the preparation of proposals, reports and business documentation; site/field work, and supporting the wider group and team members with project delivery across the Commercial, Industrial, Defence, Infrastructure, and Health sectors.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this Cairns based position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Providing high quality mechanical engineering design solutions for a wide variety of Building Services engineering projects across Defence, Buildings, and the infrastructure sectors.

Contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects.

Providing creative solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities.

Provide design, documentation (concept, schematic and detailed design stages) and construction phase services of building services mechanical engineering projects.

Cross discipline coordination on a variety of projects.

Working with the latest 'BIM' techniques using a 3D and 2D REVIT platform.

Collaboratively working as part of a broader team with the buildings group coaching other team members.

What you will bring to the team.

At least 8-10 years’ experience within building services.

Good familiarity with relevant HVAC Codes and standards.

A confident communicator, comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical).

RPEQ / CPEng Chartered Status.

Proficiency with industry standard software (MS Office, Revit, AutoCAD, CAMEL).
