Chef

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook quality meals for camp personnel.
2. Assist with planning varied and nutritious menus.
3. Supervise, mentor and train an Apprentice Chef.
4. Delegate daily kitchen tasks and provide ongoing guidance and support.
5. Maintain exceptional standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
6. Assist with stock rotation and inventory management.
7. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
8. Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements

1. Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen or remote camp environment.
2. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop apprentices or junior kitchen staff.
3. Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
4. Current C Class Driver's Licence.
5. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening.
6. Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
7. A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
