The Role
Stitch Coffee Broadway is seeking an ambitious, self-driven and self-motivated Cafe Manager who can manage all aspects of the cafe’s operations and provide excellent service to its customers. The position requires skilled and competent individuals, capable of supervising the café and ensuring all operations are running smoothly. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to resolve problems promptly.
Duties
- Coordinate and plan menus with Chefs and other kitchen staff.
- Oversee, coordinate, and organise special functions and large bookings.
- Planning the purchase and pricing of goods in accordance with budget
- Keeping records of stock levels and financial transactions for the cafe
- Ensure dining, cafe and kitchen spaces adhere to health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
- Communicating with customers to receive feedback about their dining experience and improve customer experience.
- Promote the cafe brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and café events
- Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- AQF Associate Degree Advanced Diploma or Diploma. At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for these formal qualifications and requirements.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing a restaurant/café and working in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during busy dining periods in the café.
- Organisation and time management skills are essential to the overall operations of the café.
- Proficient management and leadership skills.
- Conflict and dispute resolution skills encouraged.
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
