management support. Dr Tania Pietrzak is the practice director and owner and a senior
clinical psychologist with 24 years of experience and a Board Approved
Supervisor. We specialise in assessing and treating neurodiverse clients.
We
are looking for a Clinical Psychologist or a generalist psychologist near
completion of their clinical registrar program to join an award-winning
Psychology Practice located in the community of Kew and a second location at
Dandenong. The practice has been architecturally designed with wellness at
its forefront. A soft, tonal, monochrome palette paired with natural fibres,
textures and materials, encourages a biophilic experience and creates a sense
of whimsical calm.
The
interior design, complemented by warm furnishings and diffused natural and
ambient lighting, stands as an emerging example of new-age psychology, in an
attempt to break the stigma surrounding the profession. Textured walls, natural
stone, sustainably sourced wool and jute textiles, and vintage furniture unites

Work

treating child and adult ASD, ADHD, SLD and eating disorders. We also treat
clients with a wide range of mental health conditions such as anxiety disorders,
depression, personality disorders, intellectual disability, trauma, bipolar,
and psychosis. Treatment modalities vary and we place emphasis on
information-processing models such as CBT, DBT, REBT, ACT, EMDR, CogMed,
behavioural interventions, and schema therapy. We provide couple therapy and
family-based therapy as well as parenting support. We also provide
decision-making capability reports, and legal reports. We provide both face to
face and telehealth appointments.

We
are looking for a Registered Clinical or Generalist Psychologist. This role is
offering part-time hours or a contracted position with a highly competitive 70%
remuneration on collections if engaged as a contractor or an attractive
negotiable salary if wanting to be employed.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:
- Conduct
Psychological Assessments for autism, ADHD, SLD, and intellectual
disability
- Carry
out Psychological Treatments using evidence-based interventions
- Report
writing and GP feedback letters (letters are dictated and admin type them
up)
- Deliver
group and individual interventions (groups are co-facilitated with Dr
Tania Pietrzak)
- Maintain
clients by seeking feedback early with the SRS and ORS feedback tools.
- Work
with a variety of clients including children, adults, parents, couples,
and families (your choice based on your area of competency or opportunity
to grow and extend your professional area of expertise)
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills
as follows:
- Private
practice experience is preferred
- General
Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, Registrar or Endorsement as a
Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA
- Eligibility
for provider registration with Medicare
- Conducting
online Telehealth /video/phone and face-to-face appointments with our
clients
- Current
Working with Children Check
- Current
ABN number and professional indemnity insurance up to $2 million if you
are a contractor
- Familiarity
with delivering online assessments and treatment
- Familiarity
with Halaxy or a similar practice management software (training can be
provided)
- Experience
with delivery of CBT, DBT, behavioural interventions, CBT-E, MANRA and ACT
(preferred but not essential, ongoing training provided)
- Experience
with ASD assessments (preferred)
- Great
report writing and case formulation skills
- Passionate
about improving and supporting the mental health of the community client's
well-being and life satisfaction
- Good
client retention.
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills
- Strong
commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability
to work independently as well as in a team
