Job Description



The Role

An opportunity exists for a well-rounded Food & Beverage professional to bring their skills and experience to The Como Melbourne and join the Food & Beverage leadership team. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising team members and working across the different F&B outlets (Breakfast service in our Restaurant, Conferencing, Meetings & Events and Room Service)
  • Onsite contact for conference and/or event clients and be responsible from start to finish including meet & greet, run through event orders and supporting front line staff as required.
  • Ensuring that a fast and efficient level of service is provided at all times whilst on shift.
  • Liaise with all internal departments including but not limited to; Conference & Event Sales, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Reservations and Audio Visual effectively and communicate all requirements related to conference and/or events.
  • Daily communication with outlet staff to ensure that operational plans are understood. To assist in building teamwork within the outlet and ensure that moral is at its highest. ie. to encourage a positive work environment.
  • Supervising and supporting employees to ensure standards and procedures are observed to provide a consistent, high level of service for all customer contact.
  • Post any functions on a daily basis or as required during your shift.
  • Maintain ambassador focus on 'the Guest's need', individualising and personalising service where possible, encourage ambassador to use initiative.
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests. Show efficiency in constantly striving to provide total customer satisfaction.
  • Communicating with your Manager throughout your shift, to ensure any requests are followed up.
  • To assist your Manager in training of new employees within the department.
  • Perform any other duties within the employee's range of competence as required by management.

Qualifications



You You will have a Food & Beverage background and previous experience in a similar role, have a passion for the Hospitality Industry and be committed to delivering high levels of customer service. You will be able to multi task and have an eye for detail and uphold Service Standards.
As a Customer Service professional and People Leader, you will be a natural people person with exceptional communication and guest service skills and you will have full Australian Work Rights and your Victorian RSA.
