Job Description - Food & Beverage Supervisor

 

Shangri-La Sydney is seeking for passionate and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Altitude Restaurant.

Shangri-La Sydney is an iconic luxury hotel nestled in the heart of the vibrant city. Altitude Restaurant offers guests a culinary journey with breathtaking views of Sydney's skyline, providing an unforgettable dining experience.

 

About the role

As a Food and Beverage Supervisor at Altitude Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dining establishment. You will lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service, maintaining high standards of quality, and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

  • Supervise daily operations of Altitude Restaurant, including service delivery, staff management, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, anticipating guests' needs, and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Train, motivate, and mentor team members to maintain high standards of performance and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to enhance the dining experience and drive revenue.
  • Oversee inventory management, stock control, and ordering to ensure efficient operations and minimize wastage.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with tact and diplomacy, striving to exceed expectations and foster positive relationships.
  • Performs other duties as requested by the Food & Beverage Management team. 

About You

  • Previous experience is a supervisory role within fine dining or luxury hospitality environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine pairing and menu knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
