Job Description - Resort Food and Beverage Manager

Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort, is one such magical place! Nestled between the bush at South Durras and the beach just north of Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast.

Job Description



What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Resort General Manager, you will guide the Food and Beverage Team across multiple facilities to delivery an exceptional experience for all team members and resort guests. You will play a leading role in designing & executing the Food & Beverage Operations within the resort. Reporting into you and supporting your department, will be your Restaurant Manager and Food and Beverage Supervisor. 

Accommodation is available onsite if you require. You will also:

  • Ensure the Food and Beverage Department represents the core values of NRMA in terms of professionalism, cleanliness and guest experience.
  • Maintain these standards whilst working within monthly financial budgets set by NRMA.
  • Work professionally and collaboratively alongside the Head Chef, Resort Management and Events Team, to create industry leading outlets and functions.
  • Create and maintain a positive, dynamic working culture that creates moments of exceptional quality.

You will also:

  • Provide overall management to the food and beverage team.
  • Managing stock for the bar(s) in line with departmental COGS.
  • Oversee and manage the operations of the bar.
  • Supervise shifts/rosters to enable the Restaurant to operate to the demands of the resort and business opening hours in line with departmental wage costs.
  • Place orders with all suppliers in accordance with business demands.
  • Conference Room set up and ability to follow C&E sequence of service.
  • Maintain communications with General Manager to work toward a positive outcome for all the needs of the business.
  • Ensure rosters are published a fortnight in advance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure team members are aligned with upcoming operations and Food & Beverage strategy.
  • Manage risks & hazards promptly to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with Food Safety laws & legislation for the safety of our guests.
  • Ensure all team members comply with the responsible service of alcohol.
  • Manage the register for Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.

What you’ll bring:

  • You will have previously managed or held a senior role in a Food and Beverage department within a Hotel, Resort, or Restaurant that also caters for large events. 
  • Your communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are refined and authentic.
  • Proven experience in contributing to driving and improving guest experience, along with refined conflict resolutions skills.
  • You are now ready to move into a role where no one day will ever be the same!

Your hands on experience will assist in leading & mentoring the department to success.
