Owned by the Mitchell family since 1997, Montalto is where seasonal, heirloom produce is grown, shared and celebrated. Montalto’s home estate of 30 acres under vine is the primary source for our premium wines, and the expansive kitchen gardens and orchards supply our kitchens in The Restaurant and The Piazza.

About The Role

We are on the lookout for an experienced and knowledgeable Sous Chef to join our award-winning and fast-paced team in Red Hill. You will be working alongside our Head Chef to help manage, lead and inspire our team. To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 2+ years previous experience as a Sous Chef.

• Experience in hatted restaurants or similar.

• Proven experience with rostering (using Deputy), COGs and P&Ls.

We are looking for someone:

• Organised, well presented, professional and with a keen eye for detail.

• To confidently and compassionately lead a team and drive them to the next level.

• With the ability to work in an open, fast-paced kitchen.

• Would love to be involved with one of Victoria’s most impressive kitchen gardens.
