Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited facility with 334 beds, providing Cardiac Services, Intensive Care and Emergency Services, including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The largest and most established private hospital in the eastern region of Victoria, Knox Private Hospital, specialises in diagnostic, elective and emergency cardiovascular care, including open heart surgery, 24/7. Utilising the latest technology and expertise, we offer a Cardiology Centre, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology, Coronary Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit and more.

With over 30 years' experience in cardiac care and treating approximately 200 patients a month in cardiac areas, Knox has recently opened a new CCU 17 bed unit which is supported by highly trained staff who care for the acutely ill cardiac patients inclusive of STEMI/ NSTEMI, CCF and arrhythmia management. Knox Structural Procedures such as TAVI, and EPS and Ablations provide excellent learning opportunities for the Post Graduate student. 

Heart disease often involves more than one medical condition and requires a team of medical specialists who manage and treat the disease as a whole. Knox Private has one of the largest teams of visiting echo-cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons, in Eastern Victoria who work together to provide seamless patient care.

Knox Private Hospital, in conjunction with Deakin University, is offering positions for Division 1 Registered Nurses in the Cardiac Graduate Certificate of Nursing Practice. This program articulates with Graduate Diploma of Nursing Practice and Master of Nursing Practice.

We are looking for registered nurses who:

Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

Authority to Work in Australia

 Working with Children check

Have excellent clinical skills with an interest in specialising in Cardiac Nursing 

Are highly motivated

Have well developed time management and prioritisation skills

Are excellent communicators

Possess sound organisational ability

Are team focused

Willing to learn

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 - 2025" (salaries range between $35.33 and $47.25)
