As a Clinical Nurse specialising in infection control, you’ll play a crucial role in providing guidance, coordination, and support to the care team while overseeing infection prevention and management measures on behalf of our client located in Lockyer Valley Region. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including medication management, assessments, coordination, and case management for residents, with a strong emphasis on adhering to infection control protocols. This role offers a unique balance between frontline duties and administrative responsibilities, with the flexibility of being off the floor for 2-3 days per week. As part of our client’s commitment to maintaining excellence in infection control, the successful candidate will be required to complete an Infection Control course from ACIPC , with the cost covered by our client. Previous completion of this course is advantageous. Flexibility is key in this role, as candidates should be available to work all shifts, ensuring comprehensive coverage and support for our client’s residents. Your compassionate approach will be instrumental in fostering dignified and respectful relationships with residents, prioritising their safety and well-being through the effective implementation of infection control practices. About you: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care. Demonstrated expertise in nursing care, including infection control. Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills. Understanding of relevant legislative requirements and professional standards in infection control. Proven track record in meeting accreditation requirements. Proactive and energetic time management.
