*Position Profile:* The Nurse Unit Manager provides leadership and direction to the multidisciplinary team of the Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The position is accountable for improving and maintaining standards, developing solutions and delivering outcomes consistent with service and organisational imperatives and targets. As a key leader the Nurse Unit Manager will ensure that the unit meets the requirement for delivery of a patient centred service against key performance indicators: quality, budget and human resource. The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office.
