The Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Grade 2 (CN/MS2) is a Registered Nurse/Midwife who applies a high level of clinical nursing knowledge, experience and skills in providing complex nursing/midwifery care directed towards a specific area of practice, a defined population or defined service area, with minimum direct supervision.The CNS2 role possesses a high level of autonomy and clinical leadership, ensuring the patient will have prompt access to specialist Drug & Alcohol care &/or referral to the most appropriate care pathway. The CNS2 is also part of the team to engage patients in Point of Care Testing (POCT) within Drug and Alcohol to assist with treatment of Hepatitis CYour role as CNS2 will see you provide a holistic view which is culturally responsive, safe, compassionate, person centred care that is in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals.
