Job Description - Facilities Manager

BGIS is growing, and we need a talented Facilities Manager with an electrical background to join our team in on the Gold Coast! If you're passionate about Facilities Management and looking for a role that offers both challenges and growth opportunities, this might be the perfect fit for you.


Location - Gold Coast University Hospital - Southport, QLD


What You'll Do:
- Collaborate closely with the account and workplace manager.
- Deliver strategic asset maintenance management and compliance.
- Produce recommendation reports to enhance building performance.
- Provide technical support to the operations team.
- Ensure building compliance and manage asset maintenance across the client's portfolio.
- Manage contract financial performance and ensure KPI achievement.
- Lead and communicate effectively with employees and subcontractors.
- Maintain OHS & E policies and procedures across all stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contract delivery and financial performance.
- Facilitate planning and programming for maintenance and services.
- Oversee sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and BGIS systems.
- Deliver asset maintenance management strategy and analyse asset data for maintenance regimes.
- Provide technical support on building services and infrastructure.
- Foster positive client relationships and manage customer expectations.


Qualifications & Experience:
- Electrical trade and QTP endorsed.
- Proven experience in Property Management, Facilities Management, and Financial Management.
- Strong experience in managing large-scale maintenance activities.
- Experience in leading a team.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements for maintenance activities.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CMMS.
- Excellent customer focus, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
