Injury Management Specialist - Mental Health Specialist | Personal Injury, Long Tail Claims | NSW - Sydney or Charlestown

About the Role:

To support the development of our Injury Management, Health, and Wellbeing model across Long Tail claims, we have identified the opportunity for an Injury Management Specialist (IMS) role. Reporting to the Team Manager - Injury Management, you will use your strong coaching skills to work closely with the Long Tail claims, Injury Management and Health and Wellbeing Team in supporting early intervention, and strategic claims management for individuals injured in motor accidents, through a person-centred approach to customer experience.

You'll be responsible for:

• Supporting Case Managers to provide timely delivery of care and treatment to support recovery and return to life and work outcomes.
• Ensuring return to life and work outcomes, tailored to our customers individual goals are achieved.
• Working with teams, technical experts, and Team Managers to provide support to claims teams and proactively provide education in the areas of medical and injury management, with a strong emphasis on mental health.
• Support cost effective injury management by ensuring treatment and rehabilitation services are aligned to effective claim outcomes and the regulator-endorsed value based healthcare framework.
• Working within National Injury Management, Health & Wellbeing team to support local business unit needs and improve injury management outcomes.
• This role will work closely with the existing IMSs to build on our approach to align injury management nationally.

Important to your success:

• A degree or tertiary qualifications in the following Allied Health fields : Psychology, Mental Health Occupational Therapy or Social Work .
• Demonstrated experience in the personal injury, disability, or health industries.
• Strong working knowledge of mental health conditions relevant to the CTP arena and associated evidence-based interventions.
• Experience in CTP, Workers Compensation or Occupational Rehabilitation highly desirable.
• This role requires up to 50% attendance to Sydney CBD office or Charlestown office.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Highly developed skills in coaching, influencing and relationship building.
• A drive for change and continual improvement.
