The Role
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
- Assessing the home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.
- Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
- Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
- Preparing clients for a return to work.
- Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
- Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
- Maintaining professional knowledge and technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
- Complying with federal, state, and local certification requirements.
- Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.
Ideal Profile
Skills required:
- You possess a tertiary qualification as an Occupational Therapist
- You have the registration with (or intention to register with) AHPRA.
- You have highly effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
- You have the ability to grow and nurture personal relationships founded on the basis of respect and value for unique individuals.
- You have experience in the healthcare and/or disability sector is highly desirable.
- You have demonstrated experience working with infants and children.
- You have an intent Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
