About the Department
Our QLD State Government client is currently in the beginning stages of a large program of work. The program is currently delivering a range of exciting ICT application initiatives, with this role positioned to assist current in-flight application projects (within various stages of delivery); or supporting exciting new projects that are about to commence.About the Role
Embedded in the Digital Projects delivery team, the Principal Information Security Specialist will provide specialised cyber security expertise, advice and support to enable the cyber safe implementation of new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and solutions. Responsibilities of the Role

Perform Cyber Security Risk assessments on threats and vulnerabilities

Lead the provision of high-level Information Security advice on ICT systems and infrastructure, and secure design reviews

Contribute towards and inform technical system architectures

Coordinate system penetration tests to identify potential vulnerabilities

Contribute to the development of project plans and schedules, including the identification of project risks, issues and appropriate mitigation strategies

Act as the conduit between the digital project delivery teams, the information security team and the operational cyber security group, for advice and guidance

Requirements of the Role
To be successful, you will have a passion for research and uncovering the unknown about cyber threats and threat actors. You will have demonstrated experience in Cyber Security roles, or similar transferable experience, with any relevant qualification in Information Security or Cyber Security, highly regarded. In addition, any experience working within the healthcare industry will also be advantageous.Benefits of the Role
